I can't tell you how many times I've been asked how much I charge for an 8x10, because they wanted it to hang on the wall.
I try to instruct my customers that wall portraits must fit the space that they are going to hang in.
Very rarely will an 8x10 photograph fill a space on a wall, unless it is part of a group ensemble of similar prints.
Besides, you have to be about 12 to 15 inches away from an 8x10 to be able to see details on the print.

Wall portraits should be able to be viewed from across the room.  Unfortunately, many of the families that I photograph admit that they hadn't had their family portraits taken in 10 to15 years or more.  At that rate, it makes sense to invest in a beautifully-sized wall portrait that can be proudly displayed in your home.  Now, that doesn't mean buy the largest wall portrait that you can afford.  I'm not trying to upsell you to the largest size prints that I offer.  What it means is that you should decide ahead of time where you would like to hang your portrait.  Then you should size the print accordingly to that space.  You want to make sure that your new investment looks as good on your home's wall as it possibly can.  And please leave the 8x10 portraits on the tabletops and in the bookcases.

Regardless of whether you are purchasing a wall portrait or several tabletop 8x10s, I also offer a large line of frames that will complement your portrait and home decor.  Please click here to see a selection of frames with which to complete your portrait order.   By ordering the frame and portrait print together through me, I can deliver a finished, framed portrait to you, and I'll even offer to hang it on your wall.
