At least some retouching is performed on almost every image that leaves the studio.  Retouching services that are often included in the cost of print production include: removing a blemish or two, reducing wrinkles in clothing, or removing of eyeglass glare.  However, you can request more extensive retouching on your portrait and wedding images, or supply a damaged image that you would like restored.  Because the amount of work required for many jobs is entirely dependent on the original image, please contact me for a quote for the work you would like performed.

Digital Restoration of Damaged Images

The following image is one example from a 48-image wedding album that was damaged in a flooded house.

The original photographs had to be carefully removed from the damaged album to prevent any more damage.  The photographs were then scanned and digitally retouched in an attempt to bring them back to their original quality.  This one example image took approximately 8 hours of work alone to restore.  Notice the extensive water damage in the lower right corner of the original image, which caused a purple color shift, flaking paper emulsion and mold growth.

Although only 40 of the 48 images were able to be restored during this project, which took 7 months to finish, the family was very happy to have their wedding album back.  I was even able to replace the original album with a model that was almost identical.
