Portraits

Whether it's a young adult's coming of age, a loving couple's engagement, a personal statement, or the creation of an important moment in your family's history, portraits play an important part in developing memories and a legacy. Up to know, there were few occasions that would warrant having a professional portrait taken:
    ... a new baby in the family.
    ... a parent's milestone anniversary.
    ... a family reunion.
    ... last chance before the children go to college.

These are all good reasons, but if you don't wait for those moments, you benefit by having a story told about a particular time in your life…a sliver of time that is captured forever…an image that says, "This I who I am, and this is what is important to me."

When I'm photographing families, I can't tell you how many times I've heard: "the last time we did this, Matthew was just starting kindergarten". Now Matthew is 6'2", with side burns and a soul patch. You shouldn't wait this long before investing in your family's next heirloom. The best time to do it is now.
